Photos by Paul Maven

These Photographs have been taken as part of my Photography MA. The people I have photographed play some part in the early history of The Bunker. Most of them appear at some point in the Bunker video. I photographed them at their place of work, or at a location of their choice. Most of us were unemployed at the time of the Bunker, and I was interested in where people had ended up, what they were doing, and how they had got there. This is an ongoing project and more portraits will appear here in due course.

The portraits shot against a black background were taken at the Bunker website benefit gig at the Black Bull in Sunderland. Despite the lack of any smiles, it was actually a great day!
