Booga,I think you stated the situation quite succinctly. I don't understand how you can be criticised for your lack of support. I can't see any person or group raising over half a million pounds to pay the over inflated asking price for want has been a private commercial concern for some time. It was purchased at auction for less than the price of a house in Grangetown at today's prices under a decade ago. Maybe the next series of Restoration might provide the publicity and the Lottery cash for a takeover. Maybe an eccentric musically obsessed philathropist or tax evading charitable rock star (big in Japan, of course) wanting to relieve his guilt of all those years of livin' the rock'n'roll lifestyle might feel the need to "give something back".
Don't forget if some such individual or party comes along and pays the asking price for this listed building you will probably need about the same amount of cash for badly needed repairs, inevitable building work, running cost equipment and furnishing.
Regards.
Paul.
