Chris Cowie

This is Chris Cowie, he went to Ryhope Comp in Sunderland. As if that wasn't enough, he also ended up being executive producer of Top of the Pops in the 90's. As you can see, Punk and new wave style utterly passed him by! He interviewed me, Jimmy Tate and Hud outside of Borough Road rehearsal rooms for the Tyne Tees 'Check It Out' programme (see previous photo). During the interview he was asked to record his 'noddies', the bit where the camera is turned on him and he nods his head and pretends to be interested. The director asked us to talk to him so he had something to react to. We willingly obliged with a torrent of vile abuse of a highly Anglo Saxon nature.... Chris had to smile and nod.

Perms have no place in a civilised society.
