This is Anne Dumble, who put a few posters for early Sunderland Musicians Collective meetings up in the door of her shop (The Durham Book Centre on Durham Road). She also put out an atrocious compilation album of bands in promotion (supposedly) of the collective. Only we hadn't heard of most of the bands (and I had definately not been helped out when I was creosoting stairs to Borough road by any of them). She also put a photo of her shop on the cover! She barred Jimmy Tate from her shop when he slagged her off for doing so. She later barred me for swearing infront of her posh daughter. In this interview on Tyne Tees Televisions 'Check it Out' programme she claims to have virtually invented the collective, despite me never seeing her at a meeting.
