Bands then and now
I Breathe First
Dave Irwin, Marty Yule and Booga at Spectro Arts Studio, Newcastle, probably about 1982.
I think we recorded three songs, Shattered Pedestal, Between two Buildings and Temper Temper.
We got Paul Hudson in to sing for us for one Gig, at The Continental in the town. We supported a band from Bradford, can't remeber what they were called. I got shitfaced on Vodka before the gig and fell off stage halfway through the set. I can remember someone, I think it might have been a girl called Sam, emptied a pint of something over me while I was lying on the deck, still playing my bass. Then at the end of the gig, I spotted a pint of what looked like snakebite on the Piano that was in the corner of the room. This was after last orders and it was full to the brim. I was about to have a slurp but spotted Jerome Dagg, lurking and smirking. It was in fact piss from said punkster.
I passed on the freebie.
