Green Terrace Bunker meeting

A meeting of the Sunderland Musicians Collective at the original Bunker. Visable are Jimmy Tate (standing) Mick Catmull, Bondy, Marty Yule, Alf Dryden, Booga, Effy, Brian (the creature from the caps lagoon), Newts (standing, white T-shirt) and Gerry McCulloch (edge of frame right).Don't know who that is with his back to camera wearing the leather jacket.

These happened weekly and were always well attended. We spent a fair amount of time discussing how to raise money for the place, we paid a peppercorn rent but had no real funds to run the place. I spent a fair amount of time writing letters on our typewriter and sending them to companies, trust funds, trade unions, shops etc. We pretty much relied on donations and freebies. It was a fiver per band to join the collective and 50p an hour to practice. Gigs were usually 50p to get in. You had to bring your own booze. Our rules were no glass bottles and no glue. That was about it.
