The only ‘Musicians Wanted’ advert I ever put in White’s window said:
Non-musicians wanted for pseudo-band
No one responded.
Thing is, I never liked The Clash. Never wore tartan bondage-pants. Never had a Mohican haircut. For me punk wasn’t a uniform, it was an attitude. A state of mind. Do something, it said.
Do it yourself.
